The relevance of the Hornet concept

The following information makes clear the rapidly increasing urgency of the climate change problem:

  • Kyoto 2020 (concerns: objective does not go far enough to address climate change adequately, too little CO2 reduction, unwanted slowdown in economic growth)
  • Paris 2020 (concerns: feasibility objective 40% less CO2 emissions in 2030 compared with 1992, not least when it comes to regions like for example Eastern Europe
  • Scientific organizations and authoritative environmental organizations such as Greenpeace and WNF are of the opinion that the international climate agreements not nearly go far enough
  • Need a more and more effective spending of funds provided by the ‘rich’ countries to be paid to the reduction of CO2 emissions in developing countries (91 billion per year)
  • Recent proposal of the European Parliament to use proceeds from the emissions trading system for climate measures (for example, sustainable transport sector).

The NASA provides in this context relevant scientific information which underlines the urgent need of action:

“Multiple studies published in peer-reviewed scientific journals show that 97 percent or more of actively publishing climate scientists agree: climate-warming trends over the past century are extremely likely due to human activities. In addition, most of the leading scientific organizations worldwide have issued public statements endorsing this position.”

This NASA graph, based on the comparison of atmospheric samples contained in ice cores and more recent direct measurements, provides evidence that atmospheric CO2 has increased since the Industrial Revolution. (Credit: Vostok ice core data/J.R. Petit et al.; NOAA Mauna Loa CO2 record.) The Earth’s climate has changed throughout history. Just in the last 650,000 years there have been seven cycles of glacial advance and retreat, with the abrupt end of the last ice age about 7,000 years ago marking the beginning of the modern climate era — and of human civilization. Most of these climate changes are attributed to very small variations in Earth’s orbit that change the amount of solar energy our planet receives.

“Scientific evidence for warming of the climate system is unequivocal.”

Our contribution to a solution

The Hornet Printing Energy concept can make a significant contribution to the reduction of CO2 emissions – one of the main causes of the warming up of the planet. Its advanced solar printing energy concept, based on nano-technology, can substantially reduce the need for fossil fuels, and so CO2 emission (circle economy), in an economic very attainable way – on a worldwide scale.
